2016 NCAA Tournament: Syracuse Orange (19-13) vs. Dayton Flyers (25-7) Thread

Syracuse vs. Dayton in the NCAA Tournament. Didn't we just do this?

Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

The 10-seed Syracuse Orange (19-13) hope to prove to everyone that they belong in the 2016 NCAA Tournament when they take on the 7-seed Dayton Flyers (25-7) in the first round in St. Louis.

Opening tip is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. ET, the game will be televised on CBS and broadcast online.

The winner of that game will go up against the winner of the game between 2-seed Michigan State (29-5) and 15th-seeded Middle Tennessee (24-9). So, Michigan State.

You may remember Dayton as the team that knocked the Orange out of the NCAAs two years ago. Matt Constas wrote about how this year's teams are very different from those teams.

James wrote about how Dayton plans to attack Syracuse's 2-3 zone, which has a tendancy to get extra spicy in the postseason.

Syracuse kinda-sorta comes into the game as an underdog. How does that fit with this squad and Jim Boeheim?

If we lose, does it not matter because it was all gravy from here anyway? I certainly don't think so.

Finally, we're all pretty sure the Orange can find a way to win this game, silence the critics, and get some revenge on the Flyers. So that means it's all about to go to hell...
