Good news, the Syracuse Orange basketball team didn't lose on Thursday.
Bad news, they're dropping out of everyone's brackets anyway.
The one thing that the Orange could never control is how other bubble teams would finish the season and how many upset winners in the conference tournaments would create new bubble threats to SU's chances. This week has been one steady influx of new and improving bubble teams and, according to bracketologist, the Orange are less and less likely to make the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
ESPN's Joe Lunardi: Syracuse is in his First Four Out.
CBS Sport's Jerry Palm: Syracuse is in his First Four Out.
SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean: Syracuse is in his First Four Out.
USA Today's Shelby Mast: Syracuse is in his First Four Out.
There's nothing Syracuse can do at this point but hope no more teams work their way off the bubble. Either way, gird yourself for disappointment on Sunday.
