This has certainly been a season to remember for the Syracuse Orange women's basketball team. And the accolades continue for the team in the stretch run toward the postseason. Syracuse is now ranked 17th in the AP Poll, their highest-ever spot. Last week, SU was ranked 18th by the AP, which at the time was their highest ranking ever earned.
The Orange are 23-6 on the season and a very impressive 13-3 in the difficult ACC. The excellent work in-conference has given Syracuse a double-bye for the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament. They are the third seed, and will face either Virginia Tech, Boston College or NC State. This bodes well for the Orange as they are a combined 4-0 against those teams.
Virginia Tech and Boston College will play each other on Wednesday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. ET. The winner of that game will play NC State on Thursday, the following day. Syracuse will take on the winner of Thursday's game at 8 p.m. on Friday. All of the games will be played at Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina.
