National Signing Day 2016: LB Andrew Armstrong Follows Babers Staff to Syracuse

Originally-committed to Bowling Green, Armstrong follows his coaches East.

Andrew Armstrong was all set to go to Bowling Green and play for Dino Babers. Then Dino Babers came to Syracuse. So he de-committed and came to play for the Syracuse Orange.

"I have a great relationship with that staff, and I also met their new tight ends coach, Reno Ferri," Armstrong stated. "Coach Ferri is a great guy and he's from my high school, so he knows where I came from. He knows what type of player and person I am."

"They are going to play me at any of the three linebacker spots, and they see me gaining 25-30 pounds," Armstrong said. "They said they have no plans to redshirt me. They want me to work out hard and come in ready to go."
