Jaquwan Nelson was one of the nine visitors that committed to the Orange two weekends ago. He is a tremendous addition to the defense and especially the defensive line which is a position of need. Nelson could see immediate playing time due to the lack of depth at Defensive End.

Player Breakdown: One of the first things you notice when watching Jaquwan play is his quickness at the line of scrimmage. He fires off the ball and is able to beat bigger slower lineman due to his quickness. Nelson will need to get stronger in order to hang around with some of the bigger offensive lineman. He needs to work on his tackling technique and containing the edge. Nelson is very much like a Chandler Jones type defensive end, he uses his height and quickness to his advantage extremely well.
Welcome to Syracuse, Jaquwan!
