Evan Foster decided to follow Dino Babers and his staff from Bowling Green to Syracuse, with the former Falcons commit officially signing with the Orange on Wednesday. Foster has experience playing both safety and outside linebacker, and should provide incoming defensive coordinator Brian Ward with another option for an SU defense trying to rebuild a bit.

Player Breakdown: Ranked as high as the No. 81 safety in the nation by 247 Sports, Foster offers Syracuse a prototypical safety with his impressive size, 6'2", 195 pounds, and speed, 4.5 40-yard dash. As with most freshmen, there will most certainly be a learning curve. If Foster can eventually become comfortable in Ward's 4-3 Tampa-2 defensive scheme, he has the chance to become a solid contributor to Syracuse's secondary.
