Syracuse Orange (19-10, 9-7) at No. 8 North Carolina Tar Heels (23-6, 12-4) GameThread

SU goes for the big road upset and tries to cement it's resume for the Big Dance.

Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

The Syracuse Orange can not only get to twenty wins with a win tonight but they can also stamp their claim to an NCAA Tournament bid with a resume-making victory when they travel to Chapel Hill to face the No. 8 North Carolina Tar Heels. The game is scheduled to tip at 7:00 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on ESPN.

The Orange enter the final game in a three-way tie for eighth place in the ACC standings with Pitt and Clemson. Winning at least one more game is critical for optimal ACCT seeding.

The Heels defeated the Orange earlier this season in the Carrier Dome, 84-73. Syracuse led, 58-57 with 6:31 left, before North Carolina went on a 27-15 run in Jim Boeheim's first game back from suspension.

Unfortunately, no one on the TNIAAM staff thinks SU will win this game. But, we've been wrong plenty of times before and are more than happy to be wrong again.
