The Louisville Cardinals have taken over from the Syracuse Orange as this year's Self-Imposed Postseason Banned ACC Team. Still, they've got a season to play and they'll continue to do so tonight when they host the Orange in the Yum!
Tip is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN.
The Cardinals didn't do as Syracuse did and instead decided to ban themselves in a season when they're actually good. They're one of the best teams in the ACC with a 19-6 record and they're among the best scoring offense and scoring defense. They're very good.
The Orange aren't so shabby these days either, however. They've won eight of nine games and have moved up to a seventh-place tie in the ACC standings with their eyes on getting into the top four.
- Most of us think the Orange won't be able to eek out a win tonight, but that usually means they will.
- Even though the Cardinals aren't playing for the postseason, that doesn't mean this game doesn't matter.
- Keep an eye on Michael Gbinije, who is closing in on 1,000 career points and has yet to score under double-digits in a game so far this year.
