Syracuse Women's Basketball: No. 18 Coaches Poll Ranking Matches Best-Ever

SU is up to No. 18 in the Coaches Poll and enters the AP Poll at No. 23.

Jeff Blake-USA TODAY Sports

The Syracuse Orange women's basketball team has been putting it all together as of late and it's paying off in the national rankings. Coming off a huge road win over NC State, the Orange have matched their highest-ever ranking in the Coaches Poll.

20-6 Syracuse checks in at No. 18 in the Coaches Poll, the first time since the 2012-13 season.

The Orange also returned to the AP Poll Top 25 and checked in at No. 23 overall.

Speaking of ranked teams, the Orange will close out their home slate when they host the No. 9/10 Florida State Seminoles on Thursday night. It's your last chance to see the seniors in the Carrier Dome. As the team and the program just continues to get better and better, even the Post-Standard Editorial Board is imploring people to go see and support them.

The last two seasons the Orange has advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. There's every reason to believe the team will be back in the NCAA Tournament this year after playing in the ACC tournament, March 2 to 6 in Greensboro, N.C. There's every reason this SU team deserves your cheers.

Whattya think? You going?
