Former Big East rivals collide! Once more! Again!
The Syracuse Orange (5-2) dropped out of the rankings this week after losses to South Carolina and Wisconsin. They'll look to keep the momentum gained when they defeated North Florida over the weekend when they take on the hated Connecticut Huskies (3-4) in Madison Square Garden tonight in a battle of former conference foes.
Tip off at MSG is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be televised on ESPN2 and ESPN3. A live broadcast will also be available on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.
This will be the 93rd between the Orange and the Huskies. SU holds a 55-37 advantage in the all-time series, including a win in last year's Battle 4 Atlantis.
Of course, MSG is the site of perhaps the most historic meeting between the two schools: SixOvertimes.com (which no longer works, sadly). You might hear about that game once or thirty-seven times tonight.
- James previews the Huskies, who aren't exactly having their best season so far.
- John digs into the history, rivalry, and who need to be concerned with tonight.
- The folks at The UConn Blog take a moment from being monsters to answer some questions.
- We remain confident that Syracuse will win, which, can't be a good sign.
