The Syracuse Orange have extended a scholarship offer to class of 2018 four-star guard Brandon Slater, according to his Twitter account.

Slater, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard, attends Paul VI Catholic in Virginia — the same school as current SU point guard Frank Howard.
In fact, Howard tweeted at Slater once he saw the news of the offer.

Slater is described as a very good scorer, especially from three-point range. His mid-range games needs some work, along with his strength. The high school junior has a high motor, elite competitiveness and is being recruited by the best of the best. He has great length on the defensive end of the floor — something that would play to his advantage atop the 2-3 zone.
He has offers from Maryland, Louisville, Syracuse, Villanova, Virginia and West Virginia, according to Scout. He also has interest from Georgetown, Kentucky, Miami (Fl.), NC State and South Carolina, among others.
Scout ranks Slater as the 31st-best player in the 2018 class, and the No. 3 shooting guard.
