Class of 2017 prospect Jordan Tucker has eliminated Syracuse from his recruitment and is down to Indiana and Villanova, according to Indiana’s Scout site.
Tucker confirmed the report to TNIAAM on Wednesday evening.
The 6-foot-7 wing moved to Georgia at the end of summer due to a family member receiving a new job. Since then, the Orange had backed off his recruitment.
Indiana has done the opposite. Tom Crean and the Hoosiers are presumably the leader after spiking their interest in the four-star talent. Tucker took an official visit to IU for its victory over North Carolina earlier this season.
Tucker is a high-volume scorer, which had worried some teams throughout his recruitment. He’s a shoot-first forward and has a suspect shot-selection, which scared certain programs away.
The Orange — who could lose up to six scholarship players this offseason — has two commitments in its 2017 class: Oshae Brissett and Bourama Sidibe. SU Athletics has yet to announce if either prospect has officially signed their Letter of Intent.
