This was announced over the weekend, but still worth bringing up today. Former Syracuse Orange quarterback Austin Wilson has transferred to Coastal Carolina.
Thankful for my four years at Syracuse university... on to the next chapter... #ballatthebeach pic.twitter.com/KYcNxF3hlX

Wilson was a redshirt junior this year, but after he was honored on Senior Day late in November, it was apparent he’d be using that final year of eligibility elsewhere. As a graduate transfer, he wasn’t just limited to non-FBS programs if he wanted to play right away, hence why he ended up with the Sun Belt-bound Chanticleers.
Suiting up for Syracuse over the course of three seasons, Wilson passed for 418 yards, one touchdown and seven interceptions. He was 17-for-27 for 116 yards this year, while the rest of his playing time came during an injury-plagued 2014 season for Orange QBs. Wilson was at the helm for the terrifyingly-close Villanova win to start that year. He appeared in nine total games under center at SU.
Best of luck to Wilson at Coastal next season. The Chanticleers were 10-2 this past season, a transitional one before their FBS debut in 2017.
