Syracuse Basketball donning throwback uniforms vs. Georgetown

The Syracuse Orange are doing a lot of promotions and giveaways to honor Pearl Washington when they host the Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday. They also plan to put a No. 31 on the floor and wear Pearl-themed kicks. It still felt like something was missing from the equation, however. Turns out, it was the uniform itself and SU announced Friday that they’d be wearing the perfect uniform to complete the appreciation...the same uniform that Pearl wore when he was at SU (with longer shorts presumably).

The script is back!

The team will be wearing a special Pearl patch as well.

They even spelled Washington correctly so you know they’re excited.

Cue “Why don’t we just always wear these uniforms?” And you’re not wrong...
