Syracuse Orange men’s basketball is still waiting for it’s first verbal commit for the Class of 2017. We’ve had a couple close calls recently but two upcoming announcements could finally see SU get one in the win column, so to speak.
Highly-touted 2017 recruit Nick Richards announced via Twitter that he’ll be choosing between Syracuse, Kentucky, and Arizona when he makes his decision on Thursday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m.
It's TIME! Next week Thurs at 2pm I will make my college announcement at The PATRICK school in NJ. ✍ ️ pic.twitter.com/2efFGTGZ4Y

Richards is considered the No. 12 in the class by ESPN.com and is five-stars pretty much across the board.
SU fans shouldn’t get their hopes up, however. The smart money has been on Richards committing to Kentucky for some time now. 24/7 even has him at 100 percent headed to the Wildcats in their predictions and Scout’s Evan Daniels recently said he thinks Richards is the most likely 2017 recruit to commit to UK. Well, it’s nice to at least be mentioned, I guess.
Syracuse fans might want to focus their hopes and prayers on Quade Green, then. The Neumann-Goretti product recently tweeted that he’ll be announcing his decision on November 19.
Green is ranked No. 17 overall in the Class of 2017 by ESPN.com. He was on campus for Orange Madness but he’ll be picking between SU, Duke, Kentucky, Villanova and Temple.
