The Syracuse Orange have unveiled this week’s uniform combination vs.Florida State, and it’s yet another new one for Dino Babers’s tenure.
White helmets, orange jerseys and white pants is an interesting look -- and even more so at home, considering the white elements have typically been reserved for the road. If you love it, you see this as a unique way to utilize the interchangeable parts of the set that may evoke Oklahoma State. If you don’t, you’re either imagining a creamsicle, or the old Buccaneers uniforms. Personally, I’m a fan of the old Bucs unis, and I’m warming to this look for Syracuse.
As mentioned, SU has never worn this combination, but they’ve obviously utilized each of these elements individually. Since 2014, Syracuse is 4-3 in the white helmets, 3-2 in the orange jerseys and 3-8 in the white pants. Two out of three winning elements is about as good as it’s going to get given recent W-L records for Orange football.
