Syracuse vs. FSU: Noles open as 20-point favorites over Orange

No big surprise, the line against the Orange is big.

When the Syracuse Orange host the No. 17 Florida State Seminoles on Saturday in the Carrier, they will be heavy underdogs. But then again, you probably already figured that.

FSU opened as a 20-point favorite according to Oddsshark and BetOnline. Considering Dino Babers has probably already discounted the likelihood that Eric Dungey will play Saturday, one almost wonders if the line is actually a little bit low.

The Orange are coming off of a 35-20 loss to NC State, the same team that came within four points of beating the Seminoles the week prior. FSU rolled over Boston College on Friday, 45-7.

This marks the third time Syracuse has been an underdog of 20 points or more. Clemson opened as a 28.5-point favorite over the Orange (and then covered almost by double). Virginia Tech opened as 16.5-point favorites but reached 20-points before the game, which SU actually won. So we suppose there’s hope yet...
