When the Syracuse Orange and NC State Wolfpack kick off at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, November 12, you’ll probably be in attendance. But if not, for some (totally legitimate) reason, you’ll be watching the game on the ACC Network. Those affiliates that carry ACC Network haven’t been released just yet, but you’ll be able to find that information next week.
At the moment, Syracuse is 4-4 (2-2) and angling for a once-improbable bowl invite. NC State is 4-4 (1-3) and is similarly trying to make it to a bowl. Though they’ve lost two straight, to Louisville and Boston College (!!!). Wolfpack fans want to fire Dave Doeren at this point, proving once again that losing a close game to a top-five team doesn’t mean jack...
Since Syracuse joined the ACC, they’re 1-2 vs. NC State, winning the first once down in Raleigh, and then losing the last two. The Orange are 1-8 all-time against the Pack, oddly enough. We caught them at the height of their powers (and the bottom of ours) in the 70s, and then goddamn Torry Holt showed up in the 90s.

More on this game next week. SU faces Clemson this Saturday, while State’s up against Florida State. So yeah, “positive” weekends coming up for both teams.
