Little surprise to be had here.

You’re well aware that today was ACC Media Day down in Charlotte, to create some hype around the upcoming 2016-17 men’s basketball season. As is customary for ACC Media Day, attending press submitted their preseason standings, All-ACC and player of the year projections this year. The Syracuse Orange finished fifth out of the league’s 15 teams.

That list reflects much of what we’ve seen through the preseason with regard to projections around the conference. The top five are pretty locked-in, in that order. The six through 14 spots, on the other hand, are all over the place. BC’s cemented in last until further notice, but beyond that, there are no off-nights in the conference. Earlier today on SportsCenter, Jim Boeheim spoke about how the ACC could have 11 teams in the mix for NCAA Tournament bids.

Elsewhere in the media voting, Syracuse’s Tyler Lydon earned himself second-team All-ACC honors, while Andrew White III received a single vote for ACC Player of the year. Orange guard Tyus Battle finished fourth in the ACC Rookie of the Year vote. Those full voting breakdowns are also below:
