Preseason men’s basketball rankings have continued to roll in around the country. And to no one’s surprise, most of them include the Syracuse Orange among their top 25 teams for the 2016-17 season.
Last week, it was revealed that SU was 17th in the USA Today Coaches Poll, and the Orange came in at 21st in CBS Sports’ list of all 351 Division I hoops squads. Two weeks ago, SB Nation revealed Syracuse was its 12th-ranked team.
Over the weekend, Ken Pomeroy released his own preseason rankings, and once again, Syracuse fares pretty well:
Here’s the preseason top 25 in KenPom. Louisville’s high off the bat. Ohio St., Butler very high. Princeton is 35th — hoo boy. I dig it. pic.twitter.com/PsfAjfDCiJ

Oh, I meant VERY well. Syracuse is 12th in Ken Pomeroy’s rankings, though they slot in as the fifth-best ACC team here. When we joined this league, we knew it would be an absolute bear of a conference, and seasons like last year and this one are the proof of it in action. Duke comes in at no 1 (not surprisingly), followed by North Carolina (no. 5), Virginia (no. 7) and Louisville (no. 9) before SU.
Clemson and Miami also made the top 25, rankings 23rd and 24th respectively.
