As has been well-established, the Syracuse Orange depth chart under Dino Babers isn’t necessarily reflective of this week’s moves, but rather last week’s. So is the case once again for SU today:
Syracuse Week 8 depth chart: Daivon Ellison is officially the starting SS, Conway/Lasker co-starters at LT pic.twitter.com/25ZcbY1f3x

The major changes: Daivon Ellison gets the top spot at strong safety and Cody Conway returns as “co-starter” at left tackle, along with Michael Lasker. Everything else stays as it was last week, though there are more potential shifts in store depending on how last week’s new injuries come along. Devin Butler and Cordell Hudson both missed the Virginia Tech game, yet both are listed on the two-deep vs. Boston College. Carl Jones started in place of Hudson and seemed to do a quality job along with the rest of the defense on Saturday. Whether Hudson’s back from the injury or not, keep an eye on who starts at corner this weekend.
