Syracuse Basketball: January 9th Game vs UNC Confirmed for 8 p.m. on ESPN

Now that ESPN has figured out the NFL Wild Card weekend games and times, Syracuse and UNC have been confirmed for 8 p.m. this Saturday night.

When Syracuse's full conference scheduled was first announced, this weekend's contest with UNC was circled as this season's "big game." It's the perfect combination of a Saturday contest, biggest foe to visit the Dome (since Duke and Georgetown games are/were to played on the road) and now, Jim Boeheim's first game back on the sidelines since receiving his NCAA suspension.

However, with ESPN having rights to this game and their first ever NFL Playoff Game, the time has been up in the air until ESPN learned if it would be given an East or West Coast game. They were given Kansas City versus Houston, meaning that the Syracuse Orange and North Carolina Tar Heels will tip-off at 8 p.m. as previously suspected.

Looking on Ticketmaster via the Dome, there are still seats in good sections available. SU students are not in session yet and thus the student section seats are available for purchase.
