Knox is a five star recruit from Tampa, Fla. The forward is listed at 6-foot 7-inches and 195 pounds by 247 Sports. Knox attends Tampa Catholic High School, where he stars in basketball and football, until recently deciding to focus on just basketball. He recently played for the Under-16 USA Basketball team this summer. Knox is currently listed as the thirteenth best recruit in the class of 2017 by ESPN.
Knox is the most recent offer that Syracuse has extended to a player in the class of 2017. He joins the likes of Trevon Duval, Quade Green, Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree, among others. If the name Kevin Knox sounds familiar to you, it should, he is the son of former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kevin Knox.
The Tampa native would be a tremendous fit for the Syracuse 2-3 zone. He has tremendous athletic ability and can finish around the rim. He has the finishing and slashing ability of Jerami Grant. He also possess the ability to go outside and shoot the ball a little bit.
If Knox were to commit he would be apart of Jim Boeheim's last ever recruiting class as he plans to retire after the 2017-2018 season. Knox also would be the first commitment for the Orange out of the state of Florida since Fab Melo.
