Syracuse releases an injury report with just one name on it: hybrid/Express back Ervin Philips is injured and will not play against the Demon Deacons.
DAMMMIITTTTTTTT.
Just this morning we listed Erv as a major factor in a potential Orange win at the Dome, and based on his two touchdowns against Rhode Island, it appeared the sophomore was in for a big fall. Injury report not out yet, but sophomore hybrid Erv Philips is on crutches, seeming to favor his left foot.

Expect Brisly Estime to get more run, plus Ben Lewis and Tyrone Perkins too, at the hybrid spot. Such a bummer to see Syracuse's second major offensive piece go down to injury -- though we'll see to what extent Philips's ailment keeps him sidelined.
Sorry to ruin your evenings...
