TNIAAM Week-In-Review: Moe Neal Commits to Syracuse, So Is Shafer's Staff Secure?

Missed something this past week? We help you out with some links.

You get real-time alerts when we post a new story here. Every snarky tweet from Sean is automatically favorited. You know what's going on here pretty much every second of every day... and yet, sometimes you still miss a piece of news about your beloved Syracuse Orange. Lucky you, the TNIAAM Week-in-Review rounds up everything too. So throw away that FOMO! Let's dive in...

Three-star athlete Moe Neal committed to the Orange this past Saturday! That's great news -- for both the squad's overall talent and potentially, Scott Shafer and his staff's job security.

This week's previews of the current roster shine the spotlight on a thin and inexperienced defensive line that could still provide plenty of excitement if they can stay healthy. We also get a full schedule of what'll happen in training camp this year, and get a virtual guarantee that the freshmen running backs will play (even if it's just on special teams).

Oh, and if you were still worried about the Syracuse passing game this season, Tim Lester and Terrel Hunt may have just helped allay your fears a little with an extensive breakdown of some new West Coast concepts they're incorporating. Gotta love the Orange OC's candor, if nothing else.

On the court, we take a deep look inside the mind of Michael Gbinije, and Sean implores him to (more than anything else) just try to be himself.

SCHEDULING: Because how can we talk about my favorite topic without using ALL CAPS?! Syracuse might try to schedule Wisconsin in future years, because this program has a death wish (for me). And the 2017 LSU game down in Baton Rouge has been pushed a couple weeks. In basketball scheduling, the Orange get Charlotte in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis. Who's next? The TNIAAM staff weighs in on which teams they'd like to play after that (HI, UCONN!).

Crootin': Neal was the only commit this week, but still plenty to share on that front anyway... for 2017. Anthony White Jr. and Ethan Wiederkehr are both pretty high on Syracuse football right now. There's hoops news too, as Michael Porter Jr. lists the Orange in his Top 10.

PODCAST BACK: John and Dan spend an hour discussing recruiting, summer updates from the football team and of course, beer on this week's edition of Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Podcast.

"Get to know..." Steve Ishmael (link), Sterling Hofrichter (link), Brisly Estime (link) and many more SU players this week.

Which ACC and English Premier League teams are most similar? (and if you don't care, PLEASE let us know in the comments)

Want to know how Syracuse football will fare this season? Either read about how they did in an EA Sports NCAA Football 14 simulation, or read all of these opponent previews we've compiled for you in one place.

Why can't Syracuse fans buy the gear they want, when they want to buy it?

Lastly, Jim Boeheim and the university settled a slander lawsuit this week. Hopefully that's the last we hear about that situation...

Have a great weekend, and G'ORANGE!
