Get To Know Your Orange Man - #7, LB Oliver Vigille

The fifth-year senior is ready for his big breakthrough season.

Name: Oliver Vigille

Position: Linebacker

Year: RS Senior

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 230

Hometown: Miami, FL

High School: Miami Central

2014 Stats: Vigille played in 11 games and recorded six tackles. Against Wake Forest he has two tackles and one TFL.

2015 Projections: Oliver's fighting for playing time again. He's listed as 2b on the Sam linebacker depth chart with Jonathan Thomas. Both of them are behind Parris Bennett and there's a couple other guys behind them. The fight never ends.

How'd He Get Here?: Vigille was a part of the 2011 recruiting class and chose Syracuse over in-state schools USF, Central Florida and FIU. Vigille was recruited by then-defensive coordinator, now head coach Scott Shafer.

What'd Scout/Rivals Say?: Scout gave Oliver 2 stars and ranked him No. 160 among outside linebackers. Rivals gave him the 3 star treatment.

What Do The Coaches Think Of Him: Here's LB coach Clark Lea on the battle for the SLB spot...

"The competition's not always just the first-string guy and the second-string guy. Is there a world that exists where Jonathan Thomas is a better Sam than Marqez (Hodge) is at Will, and do we flip Parris over?"

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Vigille, Durell Eskridge and Marqez Hodge all attended Miami Central.
