Syracuse Women's Basketball: Orange Improve to 3-1 on European Tour

The Syracuse Women's basketball team knocked down 19 threes on its way to a 125-59 victory over Slovanka Prague but fell to a talented team on Sunday night to move to 3-1.

The Syracuse Orange women's basketball team continued to play well on its European tour as the girls dismantled Slovanka Prague 125-59. The team knocked down 19 threes collectively, with Maggie Morrison burying five three-pointers along with Alexis Peterson and Bri Butler each knocking down four long balls of their own. All in all, six women scored in double-figures as Taylor Ford lead the way with 24.

"I think that is a much better basketball team than what we saw tonight," assistant head coach Vonn Read told Cuse.com. "I think we really came out and established ourselves with our press and knocking down shots. When we are doing that, we are tough to beat."

The women spent some time touring Prague before traveling to the Czech Republic and falling to Sokol Hradec Kralove. Sokol Hradec Kralove finished second in the Czech Women's Basketball League. The final score was 98-77 with Cornelia Fondren and Alexis Peterson each dropping 14 points. The Orange women have one game remaining on its foreign tour.
