Syracuse Football: LB Adam Giordano Will Not Attend Syracuse University After All

Syracuse's late 2015 signee was expected to earn a scholarship once school started.

There's been a lot of debate recently regarding Marquise Blair and Adam Giordano and how each's scholarship situation affects the others. Turns out it was a moot point because neither of them will play for the Syracuse Orange.

A day after we found out Blair did not qualify, we now find out that Giordano will be leaving the university and won't be a member of the squad either.

The Camden Catholic two-sport star was actually a lacrosse standout in high school and only started playing football in his senior season. The 6'4", 210-pound linebacker received some interest from FBS programs before agreeing to walk-on at SU with the expectation that he would earn a scholarship by the Fall.

There was a lot of talk about how Giordano is relatively new to football but a lacrosse phenom. Was he hoping to get a shot with SU Lacrosse as part of his matriculation? Did he realize that he'd much rather focus on lax instead? Giordano posted a new lacrosse highlight reel to YouTube last week that has the words (UNCOMMITTED) in big, bold letters, so maybe that's it.

Whatever it is, fare thee well Adam.
