Name: Nathan Hines
Position: Long snapper
Year: Sophomore
Height: 6-foot-6
Weight: 247
Hometown: Catonsville, Md.
High School: Catonsville
2014 Stats: No games. Though he did make the Fall 2014 Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Go, Nathan!
2015 Projections: Matt Keller just kind of showed up and blew up his spot as a potential starter. So chances are he won't be seeing a ton of (if any) game action.
How'd He Get Here: Nathan was all about Maryland for awhile, but then we gave him a better chance to go from preferred walk-on to scholarship player, so he decided we were the better fit (probably because we're not the Terps too... that's an easy sell).
What'd Recruiting Sites Say: Nothing. Eh.
Money Quote: Nathan gets into the financial aspects of his decision. I wish I'd been this rational at his age...
"If the story was I was walking on for four years and I had to pay my way, then yeah, it would be a completely different story. A private institution that's costing upwards of $50,000 a year for four years, that's $200,000 versus Maryland, where I can get by with $100,000."
Links of Wonder: At the time of his commitment, Nathan spoke to Scout's Mike McAllister about his long-term goals at SU, including starting by his senior year.
Twitterfeed: Unless you're looking for the rugby coach named Nathan Hines, he's not on there.
Tweets of Wonder: (From the other Nathan Hines)

What Does Shafer Think of Him: Coach "likes all the kids" on the roster right now. Hines is one of those kids, right?
Interesting Nugget O'Interest: In his interview with Scout (linked above), Nathan cites studying under (former long snapper) Sam Rodgers as a helpful point for Syracuse with regard to earning his services.
Let's Get A Good Look Atcha: Nada. Though here's Rodgers getting recognized for the Allstate Good Works team:
