Earlier, we'd heard that 3-star Missouri ATH Tre Bryant would be announcing his commitment this evening. Now, we know that he'll be attending Kansas State as part of the class of 2016:
After much deliberation I am excited to announce that will continue my career as a student athlete at Kansas State University! #EMAW
— Tre Bryant (@TreBryant_8) July 7, 2015
Bryant, a 5-foot-10, 195-pound hybrid running back, from St. Louis's Christian Brothers College High School, chose Kansas State over Syracuse, plus Kansas, Minnesota and Northwestern. According to 247Sports, the speedy back runs a 4.52 40-yard dash. He will also be playing for team Mach Speed at "The Opening."

It's obviously a bummer to miss out on an elite talent like Bryant, who was on SU's radar but was also in competition for the two H-back slots we had to offer with the likes of already-committed Darius Stubbs and Orange priority target (and friend of Robert Washington) Moe Neal. Given the fact that Tre had said last week that he'd take awhile to commit, it's possible he'd heard some sort of indication from Syracuse and/or Minnesota (the other school he'd intended to visit before committing) prior to the weekend. That's completely assumed, however... so who knows how the decision shook out.
SU will now focus in on Neal for that other H-back spot. Onward and upward for Orange football.
