The Camden product chose the Orange over the Temple Owls, Pittsburgh Panthers and Old Dominon Whatevers.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder is rated three stars by Rivals and 247Sports and considered one of the top 30 prospects in New Jersey. He also had offers from Michigan State, North Carolina and West Virginia amongst others.
Holloway is following his high school teammate DyMelle Parker, who committed to play for SU a few weeks back. The two will have the opportunity to be linebacker-mates at Syracuse.
Jamal had previously said he was blown away by his visit to campus, including learning about the system he would run. Meeting Floyd Little probably didn't hurt either.
Holloway is the 14th member of the Class of 2016. He joins Parker (OLB), Taylor Riggins (OLB) and Will Harper (OLD/Nickel) on the list of linebacker recruits.
