Name: Jordan Fredericks
Position: Running back
Year: Freshman
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 208
Hometown: Inwood, NY
High School: Lawrence HS
2014 Stats: The 2014 Gatorade New York State Player of the Year racked up 2,158 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns in his senior season. He did very well.
2015 Projections: Fredericks is technically fourth on the RB depth chart right now but he's going to go head-to-head with Dontae Strickland for playing time behind Devante McFarlane and George Morris II. Stranger things have happened than a freshman RB getting significant carries.
How'd He Get Here: Fredericks attended the spring game last year and the offer from the Syracuse Orange was "too good to pass up." He also had offers from Temple and Stony Brook.
What'd Recruiting Sites Say: Scout (3), Rivals (2), ESPN (3), 24/7 (3)
Money Quote: "It’s the start of a new life, playing against bigger players in a bigger conference and playing against the best players around the nation."

What Does Shafer Think Of Him: "He’s got some beastmode in him I guess. He’s another kid, Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of New York. Great little football player, compact runner, he can get in and out of his breaks, great vision."
Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Fredericks finished his career with 98 touchdowns, a Nassau County record.
