Get To Know Your Orange Man - No. 42, TE Jacob Green

Get to know Syracuse's Seattle transplant.

Name: Jacob Green

Position: Tight End

Year: Senior

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 254

Hometown: Seattle, WA

High School: Seattle Prep

2014 Stats: Green didn't play in any games. Two years ago he saw action in two games, catching one pass for four yards against Wagner.

2015 Projections: Jacob wasn't on the post-spring depth chart (though to be fair only two TEs were). Still, it's likely he's looking at special teams for the most part.

How'd He Get Here?: Green walked on in 2012, though no one's ever really delved into how a Seattle guy ends up at Syracuse. So we can just assume he threw a dart at a map and here he is. The only other important question is, how many eggs has he eaten from Beth's Cafe?

Scout/Rivals Said: No one said much about the All-Metro selection who played both tight end and defensive end in high school.

Money Quote: "Shower speakers have gotta be one of the best things ever invented."

Links Of Wonder: George McDonald, Scott Shafer pleased with progress from Syracuse football's young tight ends

What Does Shafer Think Of Him: No word but former OC George McDonald basically calls Jacob our Rudy right here...

"Jacob is at a disadvantage in height-weight-speed ratio but he is probably our best technician."

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Jacob is a member of the 2012 Fall, 2013 Spring and Fall 2014 Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

Let's Get A Good Look Atcha: A little old but here's some highlights...
