It's the most dreaded time of the year on the college sports calendar: the offseason. While some schools may still be watching teams play baseball or softball (or both), the Syracuse faithful are sitting at home counting down to the fall and the start of the 2015-16 collegiate athletics season. We try to help put everyone in the right mindset for summer, and a long break, today.
In this episode, John Cassillo chats with Dan Lyons to dive into Syracuse football recruiting, set the tone for some initial offseason chats and of course, talk beer. Some of the larger talking points:
- How can NC State be "impossible" to beat at home with a 12-9 record there since 2012?
- The Northeast commitment recruiting downgrade...
- Can the Orange make a play for UCLA transfer Asiantii Woulard?
- The biggest story for SU fans this summer... is the one you're probably thinking of already
- Is Syracuse having trouble closing on QB recruiting targets?
- Why defensive back is such an important position for the class of 2016
- Want more beer? Follow John and Dan on Untappd!
Plan accordingly: This podcast just about an hour long. We dive into a ton of different recruiting-related topics, throw some shade and of course, talk beer.
