Syracuse Football: CB Wayne Morgan Ready to Compete

After missing almost all of last season with a knee injury, Wayne Morgan is back.

Only three games into Syracuse's 2014 season, Wayne Morgan suffered a knee injury that would force him to miss the remainder of the year. Morgan would be granted another year of eligibility as he played in under 30 percent of Syracuse's games.

Now, the Syracuse Orange corner expects to be ready in just over a month for training camp.

After the initial injury against Maryland, Morgan would have surgery but only to feel resistance in spring practice.

"I just didn't feel comfortable with it." Said Morgan. "I never had any knee injury my whole entire life, so when it started bothering me I knew something was wrong, so I did a good job of getting it done early so it won't have to affect me during the season."

After another surgery, Morgan feels ready to compete.

"I'm damn near full right now." Morgan said. "I'm feeling pretty good now. I'm running a lot better. Every week I'm just getting better and better at different things."

Morgan will have two more seasons to play corner where he'll look to expand upon his 40 career tackles.

Hopefully Morgan and the rest of the Orange can stay healthy in 2015.
