The Syracuse Orange basketball team continues to fill out the 2015-16 non-conference schedule. The latest name added to the list? Montana State, who will come to the Carrier Dome on December 22, as Syracuse.com confirmed with a source today.
Syracuse and Montana State (whose mascot is the Bobcats) have only met once -- a 33-point win for Syracuse in the 1996 NCAA Tournament. So that means, to-date, every season the Orange(men) have faced the Bobcats, they've made the Final Four... just sayin'.

For those keeping track at home, that's the fifth fully-confirmed opponent for SU -- a number that grows when you include the Battle 4 Atlantis possibilities. A rundown of what's on the docket so far, as the Orange continue to lock up schools for this year's schedule (you can pencil in Colgate and Cornell below at some point, but no rush...):
November 17: St. Bonaventure Bonnies
November 25-27: Battle 4 Atlantis (Opponents TBD, but likely at least one of UConn/Texas/Michigan)
December 2: Wisconsin Badgers
December 5: at Georgetown Hoyas
December 13: at St. John's Red Storm
December 22: Montana State Bobcats
A potentially rough stretch awaits Syracuse for those first two weeks of December -- facing Wisconsin, Georgetown and St. John's (with the latter two on the road). Additionally, if you include those Battle 4 Atlantis games against probably difficult opponents, SU could face five straight "major" opponents from Thanksgiving through December 13. Still "SU only plays upstate NY scrubs," guys.
