Late Sunday night, 2017 5-star forward Michael Porter Jr. announced 17 schools that he remains interested in. Syracuse was one of those schools.
On June 15, college coaches are allowed unlimited contact to class of 2017 recruits directly, which is why Porter Jr. tweeted out his list of schools.
I want to thank the schools who've been involved in my recruitment, these are the 17 I'm going to move forward with! pic.twitter.com/hWFKeSb1ud

The interesting part of this announcement? Syracuse had never reached out to Porter Jr, he reached out to them.
Matthew Moyer has been on Michael recently about the possibility of playing together at Syracuse. It seems as if the 6-9 forward finally listened. Having both participated the Mary Kline Classic back in May, and the two apparently hit it off.
Shortly after the Mary Kline Classic, the Father Tolton Catholic High School (MO) product reached out to Syracuse Orange assistant coach Gerry McNamara, Mike Waters writes.
Scout.com ranks Porter Jr. as the No. 3 overall player in the class. ESPN has him at No. 2 overall.
