Syracuse Football Recruiting: 3-Star RB Moe Neal Has Orange in Top 5

The 2016 all-purpose back out of North Carolina is close friends with Orange commit Robert Washington.

With the Orange coaching staff going after larger targets after Robert Washington's commitment, the latest target to proclaim serious interest in Syracuse Orange football is a player that has been very close to Washington for many years.

Forestview (N.C.) RB Moe Neal, who was a teammate of Washington in youth football, announced his top 5 schools on Twitter, which included Syracuse along with BC, Wake Forest, Duke, and Mississippi State. Wake Forest and Duke seem like they were shoe-ins for Neal as both teams are in his home state. Mississippi State also seems intriguing since Washington was committed to the Bulldogs through his freshman year.

While it has been made pretty clear that Washington will be the only running back in Syracuse's 2016 class, it is believed that Moe Neal, an all-purpose back, would fit in Tim Lester's offense in a role similar to that of Ervin Phillips.
