Do not call them the Syracuse Alumni and certainly do not call them The Orangemen. When you refer to the team full of Syracuse Orange alums playing in The Basketball Tournament in July, please call them...

Boeheim's Army.

That's the new name for the squad that will consist of notable SU folk such as Eric Devendorf, Hakim Warrick, Donte Greene, Josh Pace, Baye Keita, Rick Jackson and Terrence Roberts. If the team advances to the second round, which they will, Mookie Jones will join them.

After getting clearance from the Boeheims, they also made sure to note that the team will donate a percentage of the $1 million prize to the Jim & Juli Boeheim Foundation if they win.

The team, run by former SU manager Kevin Belbey, is currently the No. 1 team in their region based on fan votes. According to the site, all of the players who will take part in each week will come away with $95,000 if they win it all. The Philadelphia regional will take place July 17 - 19, though Boeheim's Army is practically assured a first-day bye.
