New Offers Go Out This Week:
Syracuse has been incredibly busy on the football recruiting trail this week going crazy with offers in Florida and Maryland and one offer from Georgia and New York. Here's a recap of every offer that went out this week:
2016 WR Michael Irvin Jr. (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
Irvin (Yes, the son of THAT Michael Irvin) is a 2016 WR out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Florida. He is listed as a TE at 6-foot-3 234 pounds by 247Sports and also holds a 3-star rating. Georgia, Miami, Michigan, and SMU are currently at the top of his list and he says that Syracuse will definitely be in his top 5.
2016 DE Joshua Uche (Miami, FL)
Uche is a 2016 Defensive end out of Columbus High School in Miami. The 6-foot-1 212 pound Uche is very small for a defensive end, but has good 4.6 speed which could indicate a move to linebacker in his future. He is rated 3-stars by 247Sports and is a hard commit to Miami.
2016 DE Rashad Weaver (Cooper City, FL)
Weaver is a 2016 DE out of Cooper City High School in Florida. He is listed at 6-foot-5 245 pounds and holds a 2-star rating from Rivals. While he doesn't list favorites, he says Syracuse is high on his list and he looks forward to researching it more. He plans to commit at some point during the summer.
2016 FB Kyle Mann (Miami, FL)
Mann is a 2016 FB out of Columbus High School in Miami. He stands at 6-foot 225 pounds and plays interior lineman for his school, but it seems that Syracuse has offered him as a fullback.
2016 DB Monquavion Brinson (Atlanta, GA)
Brinson is a 2016 defensive back out of Mays High School in Atlanta. According to 247Sports, the 3-star rated Brinson stands 5-foot-11 167 pounds and runs a 4.66 40-yard dash. His most notable offers are Louisville, Colorado State, and Kentucky with the Wildcats listed as favorites.
2016 TE/DE Adam Korutz (Johnson City, NY)
Korutz is a 2016 TE/DE out of Johnson City High School. The 6-foot-3 270 pound Korutz runs a 4.9 40-yard dash and holds other offers from the likes of Army and Boston College.
2016 WR Jerron Rollins (Miami, FL)
Rollins is a 2016 WR that is yet another Columbus High School product. The 6-foo-2 175 pound Rollins runs a 4.5 second 40-yard dash and holds a 3-star rating from 247Sports. Cincinnati, Indiana, Louisville, and Pitt are some of Rollins's biggest offers to date.
2016 WR Darnell Salomon (Miami, FL)
Salomon is a 2016 WR out of Central High School in Miami, the same school that produced Durrell Eskridge. 247Sports rates him as a 4-star prospect with an offer list that includes Alabama, LSU, Oregon, and Clemson. This offer is as much of a stretch as one could possibly get. Hard to believe a kid of this caliber would wind up in Syracuse, but we'll see.
2017 WR Ayinde Eley (Olney, MD)
Eley is a 2017 WR out of Our Lady of Good Counsel School in Maryland. He is listed at 2-foot-5 195 pounds by 247Sports and holds other offers from Iowa and Temple.
2017 WR Michael Harley (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
Harley is a 2017 WR that's another St. Thomas Aquinas product. He is listed at 5-10 170 pounds by 247Sports and holds other Power 5 offers from South Carolina, Purdue, and N.C. State. His Hudl lists his 40-yard dash at 4.54.
2017 OLB Tyshon Fogg (Baltimore, MD)
Fogg is a 2017 linebacker out of Calvert Hall College in Towson, MD. The 6-foot-2 216 pound Fogg runs a 4.64 40-yard dash and holds a 4-star rating from 247Sports. His only other offers to date have come from Buffalo and Miami (OH).
2017 OG Cody Bowes (Miami, FL)
Bowes is a 2017 OG out of Gulliver Prep in Miami. The 6-foot-3 265 pound Bowes only holds one other Power 5 offer from Wake Forest and currently doesn't hold a rating from any recruiting service.
2018 WR Elijah Moore (Davie, FL)
Moore is a 2018 WR out of Western High School in Florida. The 5-foot-10 160 pound Moore runs a 4.5 40-yard dash and that speed shows in his film. He holds other offers such as Ohio and Temple.
2018 WR Kevin Austin (Davie, FL)
Austin is another 2018 WR out of Western High School. The 6-foot-3 185 pound Austin runs a 4.6 40-yard dash and has heightened interest in Syracuse since he was born there. Miami (OH) and Temple are some of his other offers.
2018 CB Asante Samuel Jr. (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
Samuel (again, the son of THAT Asante Samuel) is a 5-foot-10 160 pound 2018 CB and yet another St. Thomas Aquinas product who is already a top national target, having received offers from Alabama, Florida State, Clemson, and many others. Despite all of the big name offers, he says that Syracuse is close to being in his top schools at the moment.
2018 CB Benjamin Sapp III (Fort Lauderdale, FL)
Sapp III (Son of former NFL player Benny Sapp, who's cousins with Warren Sapp) is another 2018 CB out of St. Thomas Aquinas. He stands 5-10 160 pounds and is garnering the same attention as his teammate Asante Samuel Jr.

Top QB Target Anthony Brown Commits to Boston College:
It has been well-known that St. John's Valley (N.J.) QB Anthony Brown was at the top of Syracuse's recruiting board for 2016. However, the Orange will have to look elsewhere as he committed to Boston College on Twitter last night.
I am very BLESSED to say that I am committed to Boston College #WeAreBC pic.twitter.com/6xwNHnifp4
— Action Brown™ (@AnthonyBrown_2) May 23, 2015
While this is disappointing, there are still plenty of other options for this class. First choice would now likely be 3-star SMU Commit David Moore, who has said that Syracuse is the only other school getting a serious look as his father is a Syracuse alum. After that would probably be 3-star Sawyer Smith, who is now focused on football after decommitting from Alabama's baseball team a few weeks back. The Orange will face heavy competition from Mississippi State, but stay high on his list. After that, the likely target would be Jack Brotzki, who's father works in SU's athetic department. While Brotzki doesn't have good feet like Syracuse prefers, he does have an incredible arm.

'Cuse lands in Christian Colon's Top Six:
While Brown's snub did hurt Syracuse fans a little bit, that could be offset by the news that they landed in the top six for 3-star 2016 DT Christian Colon, who is known to be close friends with Robert Washington. Syracuse landed in this list along with Penn State, UNC, Maryland, UCLA, and Pitt.
