Syracuse Football Recruiting: Seven New Offers Go Out

Seven? Really?

Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

The train that is the spring evaluation period is still picking up plenty of steam, as the Syracuse Orange offered SEVEN players on Tuesday. Here's a quick rundown on the players who received offers yesterday.

TE Christian Roberson (Powder Springs, GA)

Christian Roberson is a 2016 TE out of McEachern HS in Georgia. At 6-foot-5 230 pounds, he definitely has good size for the tight end position. According to Scout.com, he is rated 3-Stars and holds offers from schools such as Missouri, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan State, and Mississippi State just to name a few.

DT Ellison Jordan (Baltimore, MD)

Jordan is a 4-Star 2016 DT out of Gilman School in Maryland. The 6-foot-1 260 pound Jordan is ranked the 75th best player in the 2016 class by Scout.com and said that he will look into Syracuse and hopes to visit, but that he has not met any of the coaches yet. His most notable offers are currently Michigan State, Penn State, and South Carolina.

S Devin Studstill (Palm Beach Gardens, FL)

Studstill is a 2016 safety out of Palm Beach Gardens High School in Florida. The 6-foot-1 183 pound safety is rated 3-Stars by Scout.com, despite a subpar 4.76 40-yard dash, which indicates that coaches eitherbelieve that his speed is something that can be fixed or that he just performs at a different gear in games. He currently holds offers from the likes of Kentucky, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame.

QB David Moore (Alpharetta, GA)

David Moore is a 2016 QB out of Milton High School in Georgia. He has ties to Syracuse, as his father is an alum who played lacrosse for the Orange. However, even though he is currently committed to SMU, he said Syracuse will get a serious look. Expect Moore to be Syracuse's primary backup plan if they do not land Anthony Brown.

RB Brandon Sebastian (West Haven, Conn.)

Sebastian is a 2017 running back out of West Haven High School in Connecticut. According to his Hudl, he is 6-foot-1 165 pounds and runs a 4.53 40-yard dash. His stats are something that should not be focused on too much. Even though he rushed for 905 yards on only 89 carries, Connecticut does not provide great competition. He will be improving his level of competition by playing at Cheshire Academy (Conn.) next season.

ATH Amari Carter (Palm Beach Gardens, FL)

Amari Carter is a 2017 ATH who also attends Palm Beach Gardens High School. According to his Hudl, he is listed at 6-foot-2 180 pounds and plays free safety as well as wide receiver. Syracuse was his first D1 offer.

OL Stephen Spanellis (Baltimore, MD)

Stephen Spanellis is a 6-foot-5 295 pound 2016 OL out of Baltimore. He is another Gilman School product and holds a 3-Star rating from 247Sports. His most notable offers to date are Michigan State, West Virginia, and South Carolina amongst others.
