We already knew that The Buss was leaving the station and Ron Patterson would be transferring from the Syracuse Orange. Now we know where. Buss will return to his home state to continue his college career at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI Jaguars).
It's a great spot for Patterson, who is joining a Summit League team in need of scoring after finishing 10-21 last season. If he can sort out his three-point shooting, he's got a chance to make a real impact. That's something that just wasn't going to happen at SU next season, where returning guards and incoming prospects would have severely limited his playing time.
Patterson was also recruited by Kent State, Ball State, Georgia State, Illinois State, Houston and Eastern Michigan, perhaps thanks to the SU connection with Rob Murphy.
We already knew that fellow transfer B.J. Johnson would be on his way to LaSalle.
Fare thee well to both of you and good luck!
