All but two of the Syracuse Orange's conference games this season have been decided by one goal. After a blowout loss to No. 2 UNC, Syracuse needed to right the ship before the conference tournament begins later this week. They did exactly that, only allowing four goals each half by the No. 14 Cardinals in a blowout victory on Thursday in Louisville, KY.
Halle Majorana started the scoring off for Syracuse in the first minute of the game. It was the start of a 4-1 run, that Louisville would tie up with 7:55 to go in the half. The three goals in-a-row that the Orange then scored would put them ahead for good.
Syracuse carried that momentum into the second half, scoring four straight goals before the Cardinals put one past Kelsey Richardson with 23:03 to go in the game. The Orange finished it out with a 5-3 run from the ninth minute onward.
Final Score: Syracuse 16, Louisville 8
