Syracuse Basketball Recruiting: 2017 Forward Has High Interest In SU

2017 4-star forward Jordan Tucker's interest level in Syracuse remains high.

The Syracuse Orange men's basketball staff have been after top prospects in the classes of 2016 and 2017. One of those targets is 2017 4-star forward Jordan Tucker, of White Plains, NY.

During the school year, Jordan plays for Archbishop Stepinac. In the summer, he runs with the 17U New York Lightning in the Nike EYBL.

Tucker holds offers from Arizona, Connecticut, Dayton, Detroit, Fordham, Manhattan, Maryland, Oklahoma, Providence, Seton Hall, St. John's, Syracuse, Villanova and Xavier. Indiana, Kansas, Miami (FL), North Carolina and Virginia have also showed interest, according to a source.

The 6-8/200 forward was supposed to visit Syracuse in October for Orange Madness, but was a late scratch due to a transportation issue.

Earlier this week, I checked in with Jordan. He told me Syracuse didn't reach out over the weekend but it hasn't affected his interest level in the Orange.

When SU offered Tucker back in September, he told me his interest level with high. Jordan reiterated that earlier this week as the Orange are still in good standing with the 4-star forward.

In the first EYBL session of the season, Tucker struggled. He averaged 5.2 points and 3.2 boards over the four game stretch. I, as many of us do, expect Jordan to bounce back next weekend (4/24-4/26) in Lexington at the next EYBL session.

The staff have offered three 2017 prospects, including Tucker. The other two are Trevon Duval and Mohammed Bamba. All three are ranked in the top 30 by every national recruiting website.
