In early February, we found out that Steve Scarnecchia was out as Syracuse Orange football Director of Football Operations. SU has been on the hunt since for someone to step into the pivotal role that touches on all aspects of the team, including but not limited to recruiting, travel, team events and gameday management. It looks like they have found their guy.
CuseNation.com and The Daily Orange are saying that Andrew "Drew" Robinson, former Rutgers Assistant Athletic Director in charge of Creative Services & Fan Experience, is the new Syracuse Director of Football Operations. Multiple sources tell NunesMagician.com the same.
Robinson announced publicly on Wednesday that he was leaving his gig at RU after six years.
Today marks my last day with @RUAthletics. Thank you to my colleagues, RU student-athletes & passionate fan base. We had a fun six years.

Robinson previously worked at MSG Varsity Network before headed to Rutgers and a co-worker from there seems to confirm the news...

It's probably good to note that Robinson is a Syracuse grad. Not to be confused with former QB-turned-TE Andrew Robinson, Drew spent time as a manager for the football team and undergraduate assistant coach between 2005 and 2007.
From there he headed to Rutgers and worked his way up to Assistant Recruiting Coordinator before leaving for MSG and eventually returning to RU to be the Director of Branding (DOC gently weeps...).
Welcome (back) to the fold, Drew. Let's do things!
