Dylan Donahue was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this year. The redshirt junior had five goals and two assists on Sunday versus Duke, including five points in the first half. Donahue has 33 points through seven games this year, good enough for twelfth in division I in points per game at 4.71. His 3.14 goals per game leaves him ninth in the country and he leads all of division I lacrosse in man-up goals at nine.
Donahue has 86 goals, 42 assists, and 128 points in his three years as a Syracuse Orange. There are 15 players on Syracuse's 200-point scorers list, but there are two players on the current roster who should end up on that list: Kevin Rice (173 career points) and Dylan Donahue (128). The duo will most likely go down as the best attack pairing in Syracuse history. On the SU career assists list, it would take 44 assists for Donahue to make the top ten and it would take 46 more goals to make the top ten in goals scored in a career for a Syracuse player.
Donahue is the sixth Syracuse player to be named an ACC Player of the Week.

Notre Dame's Shane Doss was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week after making 11 saves in a very rare shutout performance against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will host the Syracuse Orange this Saturday.
The Orange will visit South Bend to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday at 12:00 pm. The game can be seen on ESPNU and heard on WTKW 99.5 FM. Of course you can also follow me @Orangelax for updates throughout the game.
