Syracuse Lacrosse: Unanimous Number One

The Syracuse Orange continue its reign as the number one team in the country. After beating Duke in spectacular fashion last weekend, the coaches and media both ranked SU as the unanimous number one team in the country.

After putting a beat down on the Duke Blue Devils last weekend, the Syracuse Orange remain in the number one position in both the Media Poll and the USILA Coaches Poll. Syracuse took all 22 first place votes in the Coaches Poll and all 25 first place votes in the Media Poll.

The top eight rankings are the same in both polls this week, with the ACC taking five of those spots in both polls. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish move up one spot in both polls to second, setting up a big #1 vs. #2 game between Notre Dame and Syracuse on Saturday.

Georgetown enters both polls this week at the #14 position following wins over the Loyola Greyhounds and the previously undefeated Marquette Golden Eagles. On Saturday the Georgetown Hoyas will take on the Denver Pioneers. The Pioneers find themselves in the #5 spot after beating Lehigh and Penn State last week. The Maryland Terrapins enter the top five in both polls this week after a 10-8 win over the North Carolina Tar Heels. The Terps have Robert Morris and Michigan on the slate this week.
