Sophomore FOGO Ben Williams has been named to the Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List in the first round of additions. Williams has two goals and an assist this year and is sporting a .689 faceoff winning percentage and 91 faceoff wins. The Holy Cross Crusaders transfer sits at fourth in SU history for faceoff winning percentage in a year, 13th on the NCAA faceoff winning percentage for a season, and second in faceoff winning percentage in division I lacrosse for 2015. The sophomore also has 58 groundballs this season leaving him 26 away from the SU top ten for most groundballs in a season and second in division I for groundballs per game with 9.67.

The Tewaaraton Trophy Watch List now features five Syracuse Orange players: Ben Williams, Brandon Mullins, Randy Staats, Dylan Donahue, and Kevin Rice. The ACC had just two other additions to the list: Greg Coholan (Jr., M, Virginia Cavaliers), and Luke Goldstock (So., A, North Carolina Tar Heels).

The original list was announced on February 26, and a second round of addition could be released on April 9, if the Committee believes a second round of additions is warranted.

The Orange will host the Duke Blue Devils on Sunday at 12:30 pm. The game can be seen on ESPNU and heard on WTKW 99.5 FM. Of course you can also follow me @Orangelax for updates throughout the game.
