Ben's Breakdown:
Colin was the middle child of our 5 OL recruits, and committed soon after his teammate, Sam Clausman, chose the Orange back in May. Byrne is an impressive run blocker, as his mobility and ability to get to the second level is excellent. He’s pretty quick off the snap as well, and shows good technique. He also seems to be another recruit with a nasty streak, which seems to be a trend among our most recent linemen recruits.
Establishing the STA pipeline again was a big step for the Orange, but then Rocco Casullo left the team. However, it would benefit the Orange to keep mining talent from the powerhouse. As with the other offensive linemen recruits, I expect to see Byrne redshirt in 2015. However, special teams is always a possibility for new linemen.
