Syracuse at Notre Dame: Preview, Game Time, TV, and Radio

The Orange are in South Bend to take on the Irish tonight.

For the second time as ACC foes, the Syracuse Orange (17-10, 8-6 ACC) and Notre Dame Fighting Irish (24-4, 12-3) will meet Tuesday in South Bend, Ind.

The Irish come into Tuesday ranked No. 8 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 9 in the AP Top 25. Notre Dame's 12-3 conference record has it second in the ACC -- just 1.5 games back of Virginia for first. Mike Brey's group is coming off of a win at Boston College and has won each of its last three games. The Irish are led by Jerian Grant, who ranks fifth in the conference in point per game and first in assists per game.

Meanwhile, Syracuse -- already ineligible for the ACC Tournament -- sits at sixth in the conference. The Orange suffered a 65-61 defeat to Pittsburgh on Saturday and have lost five of their last eight. Despite the team's struggles, SU big man Rakeem Christmas ranks second in the ACC in scoring, fifth in rebounding, and second in blocked shots. Tonight's game is the fourth-to-last of the senior's collegiate career.

When these teams last met -- February 3 of last year -- Trevor Cooney scored 33 points on 11-of-15 shooting to lead the Orange to a win at the Carrier Dome.

Tonight's game will be televised on the ACC Network (WSTQ in Syracuse). If you'll be traveling during the game, you can listen on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network. Tipoff from the Joyce Center is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
